A combination of casks from 1987 and 1997, the Oscuro was placed into airports to showcase the luxury of Macallan’s style without the need for an age statement. This Macallan, pre- 2015 facelift into a much more unusual bottle, is one of those whiskies that got away for a lot of Macallan fans. No, it does not have an age statement, but the whisky inside is beloved by a lot of whisky enthusiasts – a classic Macallan that flew somewhat under the radar comes back into the spotlight with this original bottling.
