Macallan Coronation Queen Elizabeth

$7,975.00

Description

Macallan Coronation Queen Elizabeth. This exceptional release from Macallan follows their Royal Wedding bottling in 2011 and the Diamond Jubilee in 2012. Released in 2013 to commemorate Queen Elizabeth II’s 60th coronation, this set includes two 35cl bottles of single malt whisky. Acclaimed Art Director David Holmes designed the stunning packaging.

Each bottle tells a unique story from two contrasting periods of the Queen’s reign. The first features a 1953 photograph of Queen Elizabeth II by royal photographer Cecil Beaton. This whisky, aged in American oak sherry casks, offers vibrant gold tones, citrus fruits, and summer berries, embodying youthful energy with a touch of maturity (55.7% ABV).

The second bottle, aged in Spanish sherry oak casks, reveals a mature, fruity, and woody character. It reflects the Queen’s remarkable journey and accomplishments over her 60-year reign (58.1% ABV). The bottle’s image, taken in 2004 by renowned photographer Julian Calder, adds an elegant touch.

This limited edition of 1,953 bottles sold out quickly, making it a highly sought-after collector’s item. It stands as a fitting tribute to the late monarch, Queen Elizabeth II, who passed away in September
