The Glenrothes John Ramsay Legacy is a highly collectible, ultra-limited Speyside single malt Scotch whisky released in 2009 to honor the retirement of legendary Malt Master John Ramsay. Ramsay served the industry for 43 years, spending his final 17 years as the Master Blender for The Edrington Group.

The liquid is a non-vintage vatting of spirit distilled between 1973 and 1987.

Initially selected 20 to 30 exceptional casks, married them together, and re-racked them into sherry butts for further maturation. He then narrowed the selection down to just the two best-developing casks to compose the final bottling.

The whisky was bottled at 46.7% ABV, is un-chill filtered, and retains its natural color.

Only 1,400 bottles were produced worldwide. Each bottle is individually numbered and housed in a premium oak box featuring a hidden drawer containing a tasting booklet signed by Ramsay.
