Macallan Edition No1 – Release 2015. The first whisky in Macallan’s limited-edition Editions series, No. 1 is a combination of whiskies matured in European and American oak casks. Aromas of mocha, brown sugar, spicy ginger and oak fill the nose, while the palate offers notes of raisins, dried citrus peel, dark chocolate and vegetal oak.

This is the first release in the Edition series, launched in 2015. Matured in 58% Butts, 23% Hogshead and 19% Puncheon, this liquid has been matured in the following 8 types of cask
