The GlenDronach Port Wood

Inspired by the 19th-century tradition of importing casked port into Scotland, The GlenDronach Port Wood pays homage to this historical practice. In the 1800s, port was highly sought after, and fine port pipes journeyed from Portugal’s Douro River to the wine cellars of Scotland’s gentry. Today, Portugal’s Douro Valley remains famous for its exceptional port. We’ve selected some of the finest port pipes for The GlenDronach’s second maturation period of three years.

Our Master Blender expertly combined whisky from these port pipes to create a fruit-filled, ten-year-old expression. It features layers of ripe berries and culminates in a signature long, lingering finish.
