Ardbeg Smoketrail Manzanilla Ed. 1L is a series of limited edition collectible whiskeys.

Each edition offers travelers an exciting way to explore the influence of barrels around the world on Ardbeg’s powerful smoky flavor.

The first in the series – Ardbeg Smoketrails Manzanilla Edition – marries whiskey aged in the finest Manzanilla sherry casks and Ardbeclassic American oak casks. The result is a taste adventure between dark chocolate, salt spray, Brazil nuts and saddle soap.

Pale gold color. Deep nose, pungent flavors soar, a curious combination of tar, saddle soap, pine resin and Brazil nuts. A very aromatic whiskey, with lovely grassy notes and a hint of damp bog, as the storm-tossed sea spray hovers above you. With water, chocolate notes appear, accompanied by a touch of motor oil. A slightly drying mouthfeel, followed by deep, pungent flavors that run through the palate: tar, soot, dark chocolate and a very distinctive nutty taste, like Brazil nut or hazelnut.
